Default Need help with my solo FoW N/Mo build

Hey all

Ive been experimenting with a necro monk build for soloing FoW, but Im having one major problem, I cant cause enough damage. The build Im using is as follows

SKILLS

mending
healing breeze
prot spirit
blathazars spirit
essence bond
spinal shivers
insuduos parasite
ss

ATTRIBUTES

Blood magic 3(sup rune)
death magic 1
soul reaping 5(sup rune)
curses 16(sup rune)
healing 8
protection 10

EQUIPT

icy dragon sword +18% enchants
-50hp cesta
collectors 20% faster curse charge truncheon

STRATEGY

I run this like the solo UW necro, with the standard 55 enchants. However, staying alive is not the problem.

When u start in FoW, i head to the group that has no mesmers in it, and thats it. They heal to fast for me to kill them(apart from the nightmare). I use a combo of spinal shivers and ids to stop their healing and skills, but i still can take them down.

I need some advice on other spells to take to be able to take the warriors/monk down, can anyone help me?

You don't need an IDS and Spinal for this. KCP had made an EXCELLENT guide explaining how to do this.

Basically he takes vigorous spirit over spineal for a cover enchantment for groups with mesmers in it.

You should always have the collectors wand equipped and you should use SS on monsters in this order, IIRC:
Shadow Warriors
Shadow Mesmers
Shadow Beasts
Shadow Elementalists
Shadow Monks

Ya raw damage is more important then interrupts. Ditch the ids, use the 20% recharge collector wand. This will allow you to keep 2-3 SS's going and 1-2 insidous parasites going at once continually.

Once you graduate to the abyssals, use a 20% faster cast rate ( curses)

You will need a cover enchant, unless you want to use breeze as your cover. I don't recommend it due to the fact most mesmer are with 2 ele's. Incendiary bonds is bad, it causes burning. If the mesmer shatters breeze while you are burning you will be lucky to survive.

Hmm, i tried the 20% collectors wand and spamming ss, and i managed to take down one warrior, but the monk raised him and i couldnt get any further.

However, I discovered this build works extremely well as a dual build with an ss/sv necro along side.

The 55hp necro is the tank as such, and can use ss to assisit the main damage dealer in the form of the ss/sv necro.

Me and a guild mate tried it and had good success, and with a few tweaks to the skills, we should have an excellent duo build for FoW

You'll be better off using a monk/mesmer to 2 man fow. Perma spellbreaker allows you to take out almost everything. 1 SS flinger is all you need. 2 necros casting Ss is a waste. You are just over hexing everyone.

Spellbreaker is going to allow you to kill skales, 2 ether breaker groups, and clear burning forest no problem.
